Job summary

Stripe is seeking a highly experienced Fraud Architect to own proactive risk management for high-value accounts. You will lead the strategy for defensive configurations, explain decisions clearly to cross-functional partners, and ensure durable prevention across payment platforms and customer lifecycles.

You will collaborate with Radar Product, Engineering, and Data Science to translate evidence into shipped improvements, while maintaining strong user relationships and incident response

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a technical role with direct user engagement.
• Hands-on fraud investigation and control implementation experience.
• Strong SQL, Python or R for testing hypotheses.

Responsibilities

• Own prevention strategy for named accounts and risk baseline.
• Investigate scoring, rules, and signal coverage with evidence.
• Design and improve user protections with configurable thresholds.
• Anticipate fraud vectors and advise on defenses.
• Lead weekly risk-health reviews and incident responses.
