Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Fraud Operations Director to lead the Enterprise team and shape fraud prevention across our global commerce platforms.

You will oversee analytics-driven detection, dashboard development in Power BI, and collaboration with Ravelin to refine fraud models. Strong leadership, communication, and project management are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of processing operations, administration, controls, and all processing phases.
  • Experience leading teams, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Strong project management capabilities with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI.
  • Extensive knowledge of big data handling and projects.

Responsibilities

  • Continuously measure and improve merchant fraud portfolios performance through reducing false positives while maintaining high detection rates.

  • Collaborate closely with technical partners at Ravelin Technologies to prioritize refinements and new features in the Ravelin fraud model to support evolving fraud prevention techniques
  • Develop and execute tactical and strategic plans for fraud prevention innovation utilizing both historic authorization and fraud data
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing processing team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Oversee disaster recovery, backup processes, and cost center budgets, ensuring operational resilience and financial accountability.

For this full-time position, the good faith estimated annual salary range upon hire is $127,500.00-$192,525.00. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on the role’s responsibilities, level, and geographic location. The actual starting salary will be determined by a candidate’s experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Please note that changes in work location may impact the final offered salary.
