Job summary

Turo in Phoenix seeks a Claims SIU Investigator to review potentially fraudulent or misrepresented insurance claims, gather evidence, and determine eligibility for protection in the marketplace.

You will interview witnesses, analyze data, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to protect the community and reduce losses. This role requires strong investigative and communication skills and an in-office hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in insurance claims, special investigations, fraud investigations, or related field.
• Strong investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of insurance claims, fraud indicators, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to identify organized fraud and document manipulation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for interviews and reports.
• Ability to collaborate with NICB, law enforcement and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Investigate claims involving suspected fraud, misrepresentation, policy violations or organized activity.
• Review files, damage evidence, account activity, and supporting documents.
• Conduct interviews and gather evidence from hosts, guests, repair facilities, witnesses.
• Analyze claims data to identify patterns and emerging fraud trends.
• Prepare investigative reports and coordinate with NICB and law enforcement.
• Partner with internal teams to provide findings and recommendations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business, insurance, or related field

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)

Equivalent relevant professional experience

Investigative analysis and interviewing

Regulatory and reporting knowledge
