Job summary

Allied Universal in Montpelier, VT is seeking an SIU Investigator to independently pursue fraudulent insurance claims. The role demands strong interview and documentation skills, plus knowledge of fraud laws and regulatory practices.

You will collaborate with clients, case managers, and law enforcement to build comprehensive reports and strategic investigation plans. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice or equivalent with at least five years in complex insurance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent with experience in fraud investigations.
• Minimum five years of demonstrated experience conducting complex investigations.
• Private Investigator license as required by the state of work.
• Proficiency with anti-fraud laws and insurance regulations.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims across multiple coverage areas.
• Gather information via interviews, data collection, and liaison with clients and law enforcement.
• Maintain detailed documentation for investigations, audits, and tasks.
• Produce clear professional reports, memos, and letters.
• Run database indices and verify results accuracy.
• Develop strategic plans to meet assignment objectives and communicate with supervisors.
