Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an SIU Investigator in the United States to independently investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims across multiple coverage areas, including workers’ compensation and property and casualty.

The role requires a Private Investigator license and at least five years of investigation experience, with strong documentation skills and the ability to manage irregular hours, including weekends and holidays. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Private Investigator license as required by the state.
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or five years of professional law enforcement experience with fraud focus.
• Ability to complete Allied Universal Investigations training/orientation course.
• Minimum of five years of demonstrated experience conducting complex insurance investigations or adjusting complex insurance claims.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate suspected fraudulent insurance claims for a variety of coverage including workers’ compensation and property/casualty.
• Acquire and gather information through interviews, data collection, and collaboration with clients, case managers, and law enforcement.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for investigations, file reviews, audits, and training tasks.
• Produce professional reports, memos, and letters that are clear and concise.
• Run database indices and verify the accuracy of results.
• Develop a strategic plan to achieve assignment objectives with effective communication to clients and SIU supervisor.
