Akerman LLP seeks an associate with 3 to 5 years of transactional franchise experience. The role supports a growing national franchise practice and entails work on FDDs, franchise agreements, registrations, termination issues, and related regulatory matters.

Experience with M&A in the franchise space and international licensing is a plus. The position can be based in any Akerman office with remote/flexible work arrangements available; Juris Doctor and bar admission in the resident jurisdiction

Qualificações

• Juris Doctor (ABA-accredited) and bar admission or eligibility in resident office jurisdiction.
• Experience with franchise regulatory matters including FDDs, agreements, registrations and termination issues.
• Strong research, writing and analytical abilities required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide transactional franchise services including drafting and negotiating franchise agreements, licenses and related documents.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, termination and dispute resolution in franchise matters.
• Contribute to mergers and acquisitions in the franchise space and international licensing transactions.
