Job summary

Authority Brands Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Instructional Designer to own the shared learning experience for new franchise owners across the portfolio.

This hybrid role observes classes on-site, with up to 10% travel, and collaborates with SMEs to keep curricula current. You will maintain facilitator guides, workbooks, slides, eLearning, and assessments; deliver improvements based on learner feedback; and ensure content scales across brands.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of instructional design experience for adult learners, including ILT and eLearning.
• Portfolio includes facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and assessments.
• Experience designing business content such as sales, finance, marketing, or leadership preferred.
• Small-business or franchise training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor's common-core curriculum deliverables against design standards.
• Maintain facilitator guides, participant workbooks, slides, eLearning, and assessments.
• Attend classes on-site, observe delivery, and translate observations into design improvements.
• Revise content based on learner evaluations and facilitator feedback.
• Partner with brand SMEs to keep content accurate as operations change.
• Develop teach-back guides and certification rubrics with the Director of Training.
• Maintain version control and change logs for all curricula.
• Keep training broadly applicable across the portfolio with relevant examples.
• Collaborate with other instructional designers to define where common-core content ends and business-specific content begins.
• Support learning for new franchise owners across the portfolio.
