Job summary

Authority Brands is seeking an Instructional Designer to own the shared learning experience for new franchise owners across its portfolio. This role oversees curriculum accuracy, updates based on learner data, and collaboration with subject matter experts to align with evolving operations.

You will observe live classes on-site in Atlanta, adapt content from evaluations, and maintain materials while partnering with the Director of Training. A hybrid schedule with up to 10% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of instructional design experience for adult learners.
• Portfolio with facilitator guides, participant workbooks, and assessments.
• Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360.
• Ability to work on site in Atlanta to observe classes.
• Experience designing business content (sales, finance, marketing, leadership).
• Small-business or franchise training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor's common-core curriculum against design standards.
• Maintain facilitator guides, participant workbooks, slides, eLearning, and assessments.
• Attend on-site classes, observe delivery, and translate into improvements.
• Revise content using learner evaluations, assessments, and feedback.
• Partner with brand SMEs to keep content accurate as ops change.
• Develop teach-back guides and certification rubrics with the Director of Training.
• Manage version control and change logs for curriculum.
• Keep training content broadly applicable across portfolio with relevant examples.
• Collaborate with other instructional designers to delineate common-core vs business-specific content.
• Support learning for new franchise owners across portfolio; maintain network classes on sales, leadership, etc.
