Job summary

Zaxby’s Franchising LLC is seeking a Director of Franchise Sales to drive growth by identifying and recruiting new franchise partners, and to manage relationships with existing operators.

You will lead the sales cycle, evaluate candidate qualifications, and ensure compliance with FDD and FTC rules, while aligning with Zaxby’s culture and strategic plan.

The role demands strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and leadership to expand the brand across multiple markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7+ years in franchise development within QSR or restaurant industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist existing franchisees with development opportunities and coordinate growth requests.
• Drive expansion by securing new franchisees and forming strategic partnerships.
• Coordinate calls, teleconferences with prospects and Support Center to close sales.
• Follow up with candidates to move them through decision process.
• Oversee franchise documentation during turnover to administration.
• Build relationships with franchisees to drive commitment and results.
• Serve as primary contact for multi-unit operators and turn leads into franchisees.
• Aim to meet or exceed sales objectives per strategic plan.
• Explain FDD requirements to candidates and direct to key docs.
• Review applications, net worth, credit, and background to meet requirements.
• Emphasize ZFL culture, mission, and values.
• Assess candidate fit with ZFL culture and communicate concerns.
• Anticipate conflicts between new and existing franchisees and report to exec team.
• Report progress on candidate status and pipeline to executive team.
