Job summary

Choice Hotels International, Inc. in North Bethesda, MD is seeking a Paralegal, Compliance to provide legal and administrative support across franchise compliance, litigation, and collection matters.

This role works closely with supervising counsel, internal business partners, and external customers to independently manage assigned matters from initiation through resolution. Note: 4 days onsite in North Bethesda.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years commercial, corporate, or international paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate environment.
• Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, issue, and execute termination and release agreements in collaboration with in-house counsel and confirm amounts due to Choice are collected.
• Assist in-house counsel with preparing and issuing a range of notices including default and termination notices per committee outcomes.
• Draft, issue, and execute settlement and release agreements for internal requests.
• Research files, interpret contract language, and prepare acceptance/denial letters for termination windows and damages calculations.
