Job summary

Choice Hotels International is seeking a Paralegal, Compliance to provide comprehensive legal and administrative support across franchise compliance, litigation, and collection matters. You will work with supervising counsel and internal partners to independently manage matters from initiation through resolution in a deadline-driven environment.

Note: 4 days onsite in North Bethesda, MD; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of commercial, corporate, or international paralegal experience.
Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Paralegal Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and execute termination and release agreements with in-house counsel.
Assist in issuing notices including default and termination notices.
Draft, issue, and execute settlement and release agreements.
Research files and interpret contract language for termination windows and damages.
Respond to ad hoc requests for file research and status updates.
Monitor and manage incoming rush or priority requests and deadlines.
Update corporate applications and systems for accurate compliance tracking.
Provide paralegal support for litigation and risk-related matters.
