Job description

Position: Franchise Business Consultant (FBC)

The FBC serves as the primary link between Fuzzy's Taco Shop and the franchise community, responsible for creating productive partnerships with franchise owners/operators. The role involves providing analysis, recommendations, coaching, and assistance to improve sales, traffic, and operational standards, while ensuring the protection and enhancement of the Fuzzy's brand.

Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the operational performance of 40+ restaurants within a region comprised of one or multiple franchisees.
  2. Partner with franchisees and support teams to diagnose barriers and develop strategies to maximize performance across operations, marketing, training, etc.
  3. Provide coaching and training to franchisees to improve service, sales, traffic, and profitability.
  4. Champion brand initiatives and ensure 100% adoption among assigned franchisees and restaurants.
  5. Maintain active knowledge of key business metrics, analyze issues, and recommend improvements.
  6. Ensure franchisee compliance with SOPs, assessments, and food safety standards, developing corrective plans as needed.
  7. Address restaurants or franchise groups delivering inconsistent customer experiences, supporting standards compliance.
  8. Assist franchisees in developing and maintaining business and capital plans.
  9. Gain proficiency in Fuzzy's operational tools, standards, and systems.
  10. Employ interpersonal and negotiation skills to drive objectives and manage change.
  11. Understand and communicate new programs effectively, providing feedback for improvements.
  12. Share best practices and support franchisee adoption.
Skills & Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 5+ years in a field operations leadership role within the food service or multi-unit retail industry.
  2. ServSafe certification or equivalent, if applicable.
  3. Proven results in influencing decisions through negotiation skills.
  4. Experience consulting with and influencing business owners, with strong analytical skills.
  5. Ability to plan, prioritize, and achieve business objectives.
  6. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
