Job description

Join to apply for the Franchise Business Consultant role at Charleys Philly Steaks.

The Franchise Business Consultant is responsible for advising and assisting franchisees in all appropriate areas of their business. The Business Consultant will be assigned a territory consisting of approximately 50 restaurants. This position will work from home and travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Accountabilities:

  1. Achieves financial and operational results through effective oversight of operations programs and initiatives.
  2. Completes targeted number of restaurant/Franchise Owner’s (FO's) visits and provides exemplary business consulting services to Franchisees to drive their success.
  3. Plans field time appropriately to gain efficiencies and utilizes all systems and tools needed to execute highly effective visits.
  4. Works as needed with cross-functional teams such as R&D, marketing, purchasing, training, and others to launch and achieve targeted results for operations programs and initiatives. Ensures all FO’s participate in all initiatives.
  5. Builds leaders; provides continuous leadership to his/her FO’s related to leadership and successful operations management.
  6. Launches new operational programs, food products/other promotional items associated with the annual marketing calendar.
  7. Ensures specifications/Standard Operating Procedures and Food Safety procedures are followed (proper Brand representation).
  8. Focuses on Operation evaluations and follow-up procedures.
  9. Ensures franchise participation in the Customer Experience program and uses data to coach, counsel, and recognize operators.
  10. Executes brand marketing plan.
  11. Reviews P&L reports for each location in the territory on a regular basis, leads analysis discussions with FO’s, and supports the development of action plans for improvement.
  12. Formulates action plans and sets deadlines for completion/compliance where needed.
  13. Maintains customer complaint resolution procedures and addresses issues at the restaurant level with the FO.
  14. Works through FO’s to resolve critical issues immediately.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Undergraduate and/or graduate degree and 5 - 7 years of restaurant/franchise operations experience.
  2. Quick service, multi-unit franchise operations, and/or hospitality industry experience.
  3. Strong ability to build relationships, effectively communicate, and positively influence Franchisees and other key stakeholders.
  4. Ability to travel 80% of the time.
  5. Strong financial acumen, analysis/problem-solving, negotiating, and influencing skills.
  6. Demonstrated and successful ability to lead, motivate, hold accountable, develop, direct, and achieve target results for Franchise Partners.
  7. Proven track record for flexibility and urgency in prioritizing and organizing projects.
  8. Possesses a high degree of drive with a proven record of achieving results.
  9. Excellent communication (written and oral), organization, and problem-solving skills.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
