Sr. Business Consultant

Overview

The Blue Yonder Sr. Business Consultant provides process and functional product expertise on customer implementations of BY solutions. They work closely with the customer to understand their business needs and align a quality solution that adds business value.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare and deliver presentations for user, management, and executive audiences.
2. Advise customers on industry best practices and process methodology, building trust.
3. Participate in business process analysis/design, construction, validation, and deployment phases of the project. Understand how the solutions can be configured to facilitate customer processes.
4. Develop functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports, and screens that achieve customer business objectives.
5. Create and modify procedural and system documentation throughout the project.
6. Develop and execute test scripts to ensure software meets business objectives.
7. Provide non-technical support during 'go-live' periods, supporting users and verifying system functions.
8. Identify and highlight incremental revenue opportunities with existing customers/projects.
9. Support key meetings between project stakeholders, customer stakeholders, and leadership teams.
10. Ensure knowledge transfer to the customer project team.
11. Communicate business cases regarding customer needs related to product functionality and enhancements.
12. Communicate the value proposition of JDA's solutions to customers.
13. Understand customer requirements and clarify misunderstandings among business users.
14. Escalate issues with potential negative scheduling or financial impacts.
15. Accurately estimate specifications.
16. Work with the project team to understand and provide detailed functional requirements from specifications.
17. Work closely with the customer team to guide them through all project phases.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant discipline; MSc/PhD preferred.
2. Experience in supply chain execution in retail, manufacturing, and 3PL businesses.
3. Familiarity with warehouse processes.
4. Ability to manage customer expectations regarding functional issues.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent presentation and organizational skills.
7. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

The salary range for this position is $85,788 - $108,212 USD.

The salary reflects current data; actual salary may vary based on location, skills, experience, and other factors. The role is eligible for performance bonuses or commissions.
