Job summary

The Michaels Companies is seeking a Store Lead at the PHX-MESA/STAPLEY, AZ location. You will lead a team of framing specialists, drive custom framing sales, and ensure high-quality solutions for customers.

You will partner with the Store Manager to enforce SOPs, train staff, and manage everyday operations to deliver on KPIs. Responsibilities include coaching sales behavior, planning workload, supervising inventory and safety programs, and acting as Manager on Duty.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
• Retail management experience is preferred.
• Experience leading a sales team is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of framers focused on building customer relationships while creating framing solutions.
• Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in creating memorable framing projects.
• Assist Store Manager in enforcing SOPs and Company programs to ensure policy compliance.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors to improve performance.
• Plan workload with Store Manager to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality framing solutions.
• Achieve KPIs and manage the framing team to meet or exceed targets.
• Review sales and production workload and plan on-floor time for networking and customer engagement.
• Manage inventory, shrink, and safety programs; ensure process adherence.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) and support interviewing, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
• Partner with MODs on framing expectations and maintain professional store culture.
• Participate in truck unloading and stocking, follow SOPs, and maintain a safe environment.
• Acknowledge customers, locate products, provide effective solutions, and support Omni-channel processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
