Job summary

Michaels Stores in Denton, TX is seeking a Store Lead for the framing department. You will lead and coach a team of framers, drive custom framing sales, and assist customers in creating memorable framing solutions.

Work with the Store Manager to plan workload, manage inventory and safety programs, uphold SOPs, and deliver high‑quality framing while maintaining a positive, customer‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• Previous custom framing experience preferred.
• Retail management experience desirable.
• Experience leading a sales team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and company programs; ensure policy execution and accountability for store conditions.
• Develop and coach the team selling behaviors.
• Lead delivery of high-quality framing solutions by planning workload with the Store Manager.
• Manage framing team to achieve KPIs.
• Review sales/production workload and plan sales floor time.
• Manage inventory processes.
• Manage shrink and safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Interview, onboard, coach, train team; support talent development and performance management.
• Partner with MODs to align framing expectations.
• Promote a positive image and model company values.
• Participate in truck unload and stocking per standards.
• Follow SOPs and programs; maintain a safe environment.
• Acknowledge customers, locate products and provide solutions.
• Assist with Omni channel processes.
