Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Framing Field Supervisor to manage framing for single and multi-family homes per blueprints and contracts. The role emphasizes knowledge of materials, codes, safe installation, and strong customer service.

You will lead site coordination, deliveries, and ensure OSHA-compliant framing along with timely project completion. Experience in residential framing and reading blueprints is required, with a focus on teamwork, problem solving, and a strong work ethic to support

Qualifications

• 3-4 yrs experience in residential or light commercial construction, primarily framing.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of building materials and tools.
• Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
• Strong math skills and good written/verbal communication.
• Familiarity with scheduling programs such as Builder Trend, Build Pro and Supply Pro.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the jobsite before starting to ensure quality construction.
• Review construction documents and determine materials needed.
• Frame buildings according to blueprints.
• Create and maintain a safe on-site work environment at all times.
• Coordinate with team to ensure material delivery and plans are shared with labor brokers.
• Schedule deliveries according to the Construction Manager's plan and ensure timely arrival of materials.
• Oversee framing to comply with OSHA, Carter Lumber standards, and ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Ensure project completion in a timely manner.
• Ensure customers receive high-quality workmanship and responsive service.
