Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Framing Field Supervisor to manage the framing of single and multi-family homes per blueprints and contracts. The role requires knowledge of building materials, local codes, and a strong customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, scheduling deliveries, coordinating with teams, and maintaining quality workmanship to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• 3-4 yrs experience in residential or light commercial framing
• Ability to read blueprints
• Strong knowledge of building materials and tools
• Strong work ethic and ability to work under time constraints
• Strong math skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions
• Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to solve problems
• Knowledgeable in scheduling programs such as Builder Trend, Build Pro, Supply Pro.

Responsibilities

• Analyze jobsite prior to beginning to ensure quality construction.
• Review construction documents and understand material needs to build.
• Frame buildings according to blueprint.
• Create and support a safe work environment on the job site.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure material delivery and that the labor broker receives a copy of the plans.
• Schedule the delivery according to the builder’s Construction Manager schedule and ensure material delivery.
• Ensure framing complies with OSHA, Carter Lumber standards and rules, including cleanliness and safety.
• Ensure the project is completed in a timely manner.
• Ensure customers are given the highest quality of workmanship.
• React to problems and complaints in a patient and understanding manner.
• Acquire training to build product safely and efficiently.
• Become certified in the product/area being installed.
