Carter Lumber is seeking a Framing Field Supervisor to lead the framing of single- and multi-family homes, ensuring adherence to blueprints and customer contracts. The role emphasizes knowledge of building materials, local codes, and exceptional customer service to support project success.

The candidate must manage jobsite analysis, sequencing, and delivery coordination while maintaining safety and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years experience in residential or light commercial construction, mainly framing.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret construction documents.
• Strong knowledge of building materials and tools.
• Good math skills and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions and meet deadlines.
• Ability to analyze issues and provide practical recommendations.
• Familiarity with scheduling programs such as Builder Trend, Build Pro, Supply Pro.

Responsibilities

• Analyze jobsite prior to start to ensure quality construction.
• Review documents and determine materials needed.
• Frame buildings according to blueprints.
• Create and maintain a safe on-site work environment.
• Coordinate with team to ensure material delivery and plan copies are shared.
• Schedule deliveries aligned with the Construction Manager's calendar.
• Ensure framing complies with OSHA, Carter Lumber standards, and safety rules.
• Ensure project is completed in a timely manner.
• Maintain high quality workmanship for customers.
