Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Framing Field Supervisor to manage framing for single and multi-family homes per blueprints and customer contracts. You will ensure quality construction, coordinate material deliveries, and lead the crew while maintaining safety and customer service standards.

The role requires 3–4 years in framing, blueprint literacy, and knowledge of building materials. Growth opportunities and strong emphasis on teamwork and on-site safety are offered.

Qualifications

• 3–4 yrs experience in residential or light commercial construction, framing
• Ability to read blueprints
• Strong knowledge of building materials and tools
• Strong work ethic and ability to work under time constraints
• Strong math skills
• Ability to follow directions written and verbal
• Ability to analyze and provide solutions
• Knowledge of scheduling programs Builder Trend, Build Pro, Supply Pro.

Responsibilities

• Analyze jobsite prior to beginning to ensure quality construction.
• Review construction documents and understand material needs.
• Frame buildings according to blueprint.
• Create and maintain a safe work environment on site.
• Coordinate with team to ensure material delivery and that plans are shared with labor brokers.
• Schedule deliveries according to the Construction Manager's plan.
• Ensure framing complies with OSHA, Carter Lumber standards, and cleanliness/safety.
• Ensure project is completed in a timely manner.
• Provide high quality workmanship to customers.
• Respond to problems and complaints calmly and promptly.
• Acquire necessary training to build safely and efficiently.
• Become certified in products/areas installed.
