Job summary

East River Contracting in Watertown, SD is seeking a full-time Assistant Project Manager to support the framing division by keeping projects organized, materials flowing, and paperwork on track. The role requires detail-orientation and comfort communicating with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.

Ideal candidates are proactive, dependable, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction administration or project coordination preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Comfortable using Procore or willingness to learn the system.
• Ability to work independently while keeping the Project Manager informed.

Responsibilities

• Order materials as directed by the Project Manager.
• Prepare and track submittals to keep projects compliant and on schedule.
• Book hotel accommodations for traveling crews and personnel.
• Track project expenses and flag budget variances to the Project Manager.
• Support day-to-day project coordination and team communication.
• Create sub and vendor commitments in Procore and collect required documentation.
• Set up and maintain project tasks and schedules in Procore.
• Review and approve team credit card fund requests.
