Job summary

EssilorLuxottica is seeking a Manufacturing Manager in California to lead production across multiple departments and shifts, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of manufacturing experience, and strong leadership, coaching and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as in groups.
• Experience in a high volume, high mix, and multiple shift environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and evaluate resources to ensure high productivity levels.
• Oversee a workforce of hourly and salaried employees across multiple departments and shifts.
• Track and meet daily/weekly/monthly KPIs: Safety Near Miss Reporting, Quality/Scrap, Volume/Productivity, Efficiency and Lead-Time.
• Identify and present plans to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines.
• Set ambitious production goals, communicate them to key personnel and influence the team to buy into those goals.
• Provide guidance, motivation, and establish methods that promote objective thinking and teamwork.
• Communicate problems or obstacles to senior management.
• Collaborate with core team members to solve cross-functional problems.
• Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels.
• Create standard work for all positions within the team.
• Address roadblocks with a clear action plan.
