Job summary

Chief Industries, Inc. in Aurora, Nebraska, is seeking a full-time welder to perform welding across all phases of frame assembly. You will gather, measure, cut and load steel beams into the jig, position and weld beams, install gas lines, and paint frames, while reading blueprints to build accurately from orders.

Strong experience with measuring tools and power tools is essential, as is the ability to layout products from blueprints and ensure road-ready frames. Equal opportunity employer.

Job description

Performs welding process on all phases of frame assembly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Gather, measure , cut and load steel beams into frame jig.
• Set steel beams into proper position and weld together into place.
• Gather, measure, cut and install gas lines onto frame.
• Paint frame.
• Advance understanding of blue prints, production orders and the ability to layout and build product accurately from them.
• Required to use staple & nail guns, power tools, hand tools, measuring devices and other equipment as required by the specific job.
• Inspect tires, axles, and frames to make sure they are road ready.

Education

• High School Diploma, or equivalent, preferred.
