Job summary

Chief Industries is seeking a skilled welder to perform welding across frame assemblies. The role involves gathering, measuring, cutting and loading steel beams, positioning and welding frames, and painting frames to meet production orders. Candidates should read blueprints, measure accurately and layout products based on specifications.

Responsibilities

• Gather, measure, cut and load steel beams into frame jig.
• Set steel beams into proper position and weld together into place.
• Gather, measure, cut and install gas lines onto frame.
• Paint frame.
• Read blueprints and production orders to layout and build product accurately.
• Use staple & nail guns, power tools, hand tools and measuring devices as required by the job.
• Inspect tires, axles, and frames to ensure road readiness.

Job description

Performs welding process on all phases of frame assembly.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gather, measure , cut and load steel beams into frame jig.
• Set steel beams into proper position and weld together into place.
• Gather, measure, cut and install gas lines onto frame.
• Paint frame.
• Advance understanding of blue prints, production orders and the ability to layout and build product accurately from them.
• Required to use staple & nail guns, power tools, hand tools, measuring devices and other equipment as required by the specific job.
• Inspect tires, axles, and frames to make sure they are road ready.

Education:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent, preferred.
