Job summary

Element Brooklyn is seeking a part-time Fragrance Workshop Lead to run fragrance-making sessions in our Brooklyn workshop. You will guide groups of up to twelve through the process, finalizing notes, dilutions, and session formats, while training other staff to run workshops in your absence.

The role requires fragrance knowledge, comfort speaking to groups, and afternoon/weekend availability. Based in NYC, you will help manage the note wall and private bookings, with compensation at $45 per hour

Qualifications

• Real fragrance knowledge—formulation or blending experience, or serious personal practice with notes.
• Comfort guiding groups for 60 minutes at a time and engaging audiences.
• Afternoon and weekend availability, including both weekend days most weeks.
• Based in NYC with easy access to the Seaport.

Responsibilities

• Lead fragrance-making workshops for groups of up to twelve, guiding guests from first sniff to finished bottle.
• Teach top, heart, and base structure so a first-timer leaves with a wearable scent.
• Rescue blends that aren’t working—advise on adjustments and timing.
• Blend and bottle finished fragrances, label them, and log every formula.
• Help finalize the note wall and determine dilution levels for each material.
• Write session structure and training materials and train staff to run it.
• Host private groups, corporate bookings, and holiday events.
