CRCFO is seeking a Fractional Senior Controller to provide independent financial oversight for government contractor businesses. The role focuses on cash flow, profitability, and disciplined financial controls to protect lender interests.

You will directly influence spending, implement controls, and drive corrective actions in distressed or challenging situations. Remote with East Coast travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Controller with government contractors experience.
• Hands-on government contract accounting: job costing, labor charging, cost allocation, indirect rates.
• Strong knowledge of FAR and DCAA requirements.
• Experience with accounting operations, close, cash, budgeting, forecasting.
• Ability to influence spending and drive corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting, GL, month-end close, reconciliations, reporting.
• Oversee government contract/project accounting and cost reporting.
• Evaluate records to identify gaps and improve accuracy.
• Support audits, incurred cost submissions, and related reporting.
• Lead financial oversight to protect lender interests.
• Manage cash flow, budgets, forecasts, and project profitability.
• Establish controls and approval processes per lender requirements.
• Communicate risks and corrective actions to borrowers and lenders.
