Job summary

Frost CFO Services, LLC is seeking a Fractional Controller to direct and support the accounting and financial activities for client companies that do not require a full-time internal department or CFO. This role can be remote or based in Frost offices and collaborates with client leadership and internal teams on forecasts, budgets, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has BS in Accounting, 7–10 years of accounting experience, and is comfortable with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting or Professional Accountancy.
• 7–10 years of accounting experience.
• Travel approximately 25% of time.
• Remote work availability.

Responsibilities

• Develop short-, mid-, and long-term financial forecasts for clients and internal teams.
• Prepare budgets based on forecasts and business objectives.
• Assist with and oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts and review general ledger activity.
• Direct the preparation of financial statements, including income statements and balance sheets.
• Compare sales and profit projections to actual results and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; recommend adjustments to forecasts and budgets.
• Provide strategic management of accounting and finance functions for clients.
• Develop, implement, and improve accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial manuals.
• Identify and manage business risks, including insurance requirements.
• Oversee or support investment of funds and capital raises or expansion initiatives.
• Collaborate with client executive leadership on financial strategy and operational planning.
• Assist clients with hiring efforts related to accounting and finance functions.
