Job summary

Rose Financial Solutions is seeking a Fractional Controller to lead monthly close, financial reporting, and internal controls for a portfolio of growing clients.

You will work across GovCon, nonprofit, and founder-led businesses, leveraging Easby and automation to scale finance functions. This role offers mentoring from senior CFO-level leaders and a defined path toward fractional CFO engagements.

Qualifications

• 5–12 years accounting/finance experience with real close ownership.
• Hands-on experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• GovCon experience or regulated industries is a strong plus.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting, including grant management and donor reporting.
• Able to manage multiple client environments concurrently.
• Curious about technology, open to learning new platforms.
• Clear communication with non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process for a portfolio of clients.
• Produce financial statements and management reports for decision making.
• Monitor internal controls and identify gaps.
• Support GovCon compliance (DCAA, FAR, indirect rate).
• Use Easby to manage transactions, approvals, reconciliations, reporting workflows.
• Collaborate with ROSE CFO Members and Controllers.
• Support nonprofit clients with grant tracking, revenue, donor reporting.
• Prepare or support audit-ready financial packages.
