cloudIT in Phoenix is seeking a strategic vCISO to lead security programs for a portfolio of SMB clients. You will translate complex security concepts into plain language and build practical, risk-based roadmaps anchored in cloudIT’s security stack.

This role blends strategy, communication, and trusted advisory with hands-on governance, incident planning, and vendor risk management for diverse industries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in information security with leadership experience.
• Ability to engage effectively with IT leaders and non-technical business owners.
• Experience working with or for an MSP or TSP is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own practical, business-aligned security roadmaps built on cloudIT’s security stack.
• Lead risk assessments and prioritize remediation based on business impact.
• Guide clients through HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, NIST CSF, and ISO 27001 compliance frameworks.
• Build and test incident response plans and coordinate responses during incidents.
• Oversee the security stack adoption and vendor risk management for client projects.
