Job summary

cloudIT, LLC is seeking a Virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) in Phoenix, AZ to lead cybersecurity initiatives for small and mid-sized businesses, providing strategic security guidance while managing multiple client relationships. In this role, you will be responsible for developing security roadmaps, managing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with essential frameworks like HIPAA and PCI-DSS.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in information security along with strong leadership skills, and the position offers health benefits, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in information security with at least 2 years in a leadership or advisory capacity.
• Ability to engage effectively with both IT leaders and non-technical business owners.
• Experience working with or for an MSP or TSP is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own practical, business-aligned security roadmaps built on cloudIT's security stack.
• Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments calibrated to client environments.
• Guide clients through HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, NIST CSF, and other relevant frameworks.
• Build and test incident response plans suited to SMB realities.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, engaging at the right level for each organization.
