Job summary

Rochester Sensors seeks a Production Associate I to maintain quality and integrity of manufactured products at our Coppell, TX facility. You will operate and monitor equipment, document results, and support assembly tasks on the line.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years in production, basic hand-tool skills, and good communication. Cross-functional teamwork is important, and bilingual Spanish is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of production/manufacturing experience (preferred).
  • Solid oral and written business communication skills (bilingual Spanish a plus).
  • Basic proficiency with small hand tools and simple machine operation.

Responsibilities

  • Operates assigned machine according to specifications and positions workpieces.
  • Observes machine operation using gauges and indicators to ensure proper function.
  • Visually inspects workpieces and verifies finished specifications with basic tools.
  • Assembles, tightens, and secures parts using small hand tools; may solder or bond components.
  • Reads blueprints or job orders for product specifications and tolerances.
  • Packs and transports finished pieces to other production areas as needed.
  • Connects component leads and wires using soldering or bonding equipment.

FPI PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE I
OVERVIEW

Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of manufactured products, following procedures, operating and maintaining equipment, and documenting and reporting results. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates assigned machine according to specifications. Positions and secures workpieces manually and/or removes them from the holding fixture. Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine. May use manual hand tools as necessary.
  • Observes machine operation through gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Visually inspects workpieces and verifies finished specifications using simple measuring instruments.
  • Assembles, crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, cuts, drills, grinds, or secures parts in place using small hand tools such as screwdriver , pliers, hammer , power tools.
  • Verifies quality of own work and may verify quality of work for other assigned persons on the line and notifies supervisor/lead of any issues.
  • May read blueprints or job orders for product specifications, such as dimensions and tolerances.
  • May pack and transport finished workpieces to other production areas.
  • May connect component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points, using soldering or related bonding procedures and equipment
  • Serves on related committees and participates in meetings as required.
  • Actively supports the defined goals and objectives of the company.
  • Projects a professional, total-quality image in all aspects of this position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • 1+ years of related production/manufacturing experience (preferred).
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent (preferred).
  • Solid oral and written business communication skills (bilingual Spanish a plus).
  • Basic proficiency with small hand tools and simple machine operation.
  • Good organizationaland work prioritizationskills.
  • Desire to succeed and be a part of a diverse team.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Up to 10% travel may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to walk for prolonged periods of time, frequently bending, climbing, rotating, squatting, reaching, kneeling, or stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds, and periods of computer use. Employees may be frequently exposed to heat/cold, heights, gases, vibration, dust, chemicals, odors, dampness, fumes, and noises.
