  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, CNC machining, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, GD&T, BOM creation, and engineering change management.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tolerances, materials, manufacturing methods, and engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and process improvement capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with machinists, technicians, operators, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical components, assemblies, fixtures, tooling, jigs, and manufacturing aids using SolidWorks.
  • Create and maintain 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, BOMs, engineering specifications, and revision-controlled documentation.
  • Apply GD&T, tolerancing, material specifications, and design principles to ensure manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Support CNC machining operations by optimizing designs for manufacturing processes including milling, turning, drilling, and tapping.
  • Collaborate with machinists and CNC programmers to improve manufacturability, reduce cycle times, minimize scrap, and enhance production efficiency.
  • Develop and improve fixtures, work-holding solutions, manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standardized procedures.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of manufacturing and mechanical issues, implementing corrective actions to improve quality and performance.
  • Support new product introductions, prototype development, production launches, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Leverage AI and digital engineering tools to improve productivity, technical analysis, documentation, problem solving, data analysis, and process optimization.
  • Work directly with shop floor personnel to resolve production issues, validate manufactured components, and translate engineering requirements into practical manufacturing solutions.

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER I
OVERVIEW

We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in mechanical design, CNC manufacturing, and process improvement to develop innovative solutions that enhance productivity, quality, and cost performance. This role combines mechanical engineering, SolidWorks design, manufacturing support, and the use of AI-driven tools to optimize engineering and production processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with shop floor personnel to design components and fixtures, improve manufacturing methods, troubleshoot production challenges, and drive projects from concept through implementation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing engineering, CNC machining, or a related manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, GD&T, BOM creation, and engineering change management.

  • Experience with prototyping technologies, automation, robotics, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal, plastics, welding, machining, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, engineering change processes, and document control systems.
  • Practical experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms to enhance engineering and manufacturing processes.
