Job summary

Rochester Sensors is seeking a Production Associate I to join our Coppell, TX manufacturing team. You will help ensure quality and integrity of manufactured products by following procedures, operating equipment, and documenting results.

Responsibilities include machine operation, piece inspection with basic tools, reading blueprints, assembling components, and reporting issues to leadership. A willingness to work on a diverse team, with up to 10% travel as needed, is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years production/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic proficiency with small hand tools and simple machine operation.
• Good communication; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates assigned machine according to specifications.
• Positions and secures workpieces manually or in fixtures.
• Observes machine operation to ensure proper functioning.
• Inspects workpieces and verifies finished specifications with simple measuring instruments.
• Assembles, crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, cuts, drills, or secures parts using small hand tools.
• Verifies quality of own work and reports issues to supervisor/lead.
• Reads blueprints or job orders for product specifications.
• Packs and transports finished workpieces to other production areas.
• Connects component leads and wires using soldering or related bonding procedures.
• Participates in meetings and supports company goals.

FPI PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE I

OVERVIEW

Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of manufactured products, following procedures, operating and maintaining equipment, and documenting and reporting results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates assigned machine according to specifications. Positions and secures workpieces manually and/or removes them from the holding fixture. Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine. May use manual hand tools as necessary.
• Observes machine operation through gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
• Visually inspects workpieces and verifies finished specifications using simple measuring instruments.
• Assembles, crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, cuts, drills, grinds, or secures parts in place using small hand tools such as screwdriver , pliers, hammer , power tools, machines etc. as required .
• Verifies quality of own work and may verify quality of work for other assigned persons on the line and notifies supervisor/lead of any issues.
• May read blueprints or job orders for product specifications, such as dimensions and tolerances.
• May pack and transport finished workpieces to other production areas.
• May connect component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points, using soldering or related bonding procedures and equipment
• Serves on related committees and participates in meetings as required.
• Actively supports the defined goals and objectives of the company.
• Projects a professional, total-quality image in all aspects of this position.
• Performs other duties as assigned or as judgment or necessity dictates.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 1+ years of related production/manufacturing experience (preferred).
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent (preferred).
• Solid oral and written business communication skills (bilingual Spanish a plus).
• Basic proficiency with small hand tools and simple machine operation.
• Good organizationaland work prioritizationskills.
• Desire to succeed and be a part of a diverse team.
