Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Whitehall, Michigan is seeking an off-shift FPI Processor Technician for our Whitehall Casting Operation.

The role performs nondestructive testing, prepares castings for fluorescent penetrant inspection, and marks parts for rework to meet customer requirements. You will conduct regular equipment checks, maintain documentation, help train new technicians, and ensure compliance with all EHS rules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years of work experience; or six months manufacturing experience.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Perform nondestructive testing using fluorescent penetrant to detect surface defects and mark for rework.
• Prepare castings for fluorescent penetrant inspection.
• Perform FPI inspection per customer specifications.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment.
• Conduct shift daily, weekly, and monthly equipment checks.
• Assist in training new technicians and maintain EHS compliance.
