Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking an NDT Technician - Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) to process aerospace investment castings in accordance with customer requirements and procedures. This role emphasizes strict quality, safety, and documentation standards.

The position is on the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM) with a $2.00 shift differential. You will work in a manufacturing environment supporting aviation safety and reliability across global operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read technique sheets, quality requirements, and SOPs.
• Must be able to obtain NAS 410 Level I PT certification.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform fluorescent penetrant processing of aerospace investment castings following approved procedures.
• Review routers and paperwork to ensure accuracy and alignment with products.
• Load parts into baskets and process through the FPI line.
• Clean, degrease, rinse, dry, develop and post-clean castings per requirements.
• Monitor dwell times and processing parameters to ensure spec compliance.
• Safely move parts using hoists and material handling equipment.
• Complete production and quality documentation as required.
• Support 6S activities and maintain FPI equipment and lines.
