Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a dedicated FPI Processor Technician for our Whitehall Casting Operation located at Plant 3. The role supports off-shift operations and requires performing fluorescent penetrant inspection on castings, preparing parts, and marking for rework to meet customer specifications.

The position emphasizes adherence to EHS rules, daily equipment checks, and training of new technicians within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
• Ability to operate in a manufacturing environment.
• Attention to safety and quality procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform nondestructive testing using fluorescent penetrant to detect surface defects.
• Prepare castings for FPI inspection and perform FPI per spec.
• Mark castings to indicate rework; conduct equipment checks daily/weekly/monthly.
• Maintain updated files and records; calibrate equipment; train new technicians.
