Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking an off-shift CASTING TECHNICIAN at our Ti-Cast Operation plant in Whitehall, Michigan. This full-time on-site role requires troubleshooting, maintaining logs, following controlled work instructions and preparing furnaces for the next shift.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of work experience (or six months in manufacturing), and legal authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and detailed logs.
• Work to detailed and controlled work instructions.
• Executes minor maintenance.
• Repairs and replaces furnace components.
• Checks and maintains furnace fluid levels.
• Prepares and sets up furnace for following shift.
• Performs housekeeping activities to keep machines and work area clean.
• Sweeps and mops work area.
• Scrapes and cleans mold and melt chambers of furnaces.
• Complies with all EHS rules required for the work environment.
• Performs other work-related duties, as assigned.
