Job summary

ACL Digital is seeking an FPGA On-Target Test Engineer to support verification and validation of FPGA- and SoC-based products in a hardware laboratory setting. You will work across FPGA design, simulation verification, systems engineering, and integration teams to develop and execute tests on target hardware.

The role spans requirements analysis, test planning, hardware bring-up, data collection, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Qualifications

• BS degree or higher in engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with FPGA/SOC technologies in hardware lab.
• Experience developing and executing verification or validation tests.
• Experience troubleshooting digital hardware or embedded electronics.
• Ability to interpret hardware and system requirements to develop test procedures.
• Experience documenting test plans and results.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and execute verification and validation procedures for FPGA and SoC hardware.
• Perform on-target testing using engineering and production-representative hardware.
• Translate requirements into test objectives, test cases, procedures, and expected results.
• Support hardware bring-up, integration, and laboratory troubleshooting.
• Configure test setups, instrumentation, cables, interfaces, loads, and support equipment for on-target testing.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate test execution, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Document test methods, procedures, results, discrepancies, and verification evidence.
• Collaborate with FPGA designers, verification engineers, systems engineers, hardware engineers, and program teams to resolve issues.
