Advanced Energy is seeking an FPGA Engineer to design and modify RTL for FPGA-enabled equipment, performing development in RTL, DSP concepts, and verification test benches. You will work cross-functionally with hardware and software teams to ensure interfaces meet performance targets and project constraints.

The role focuses on mission-critical power conversion hardware, with hands-on lab experience, VHDL/Verilog, and FPGA test bench development, located in Redwood City, CA.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on FPGA laboratory experience.
• Experience with FPGA test benches and design verification.
• Experience collaborating with hardware and software teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify RTL for FPGAs (logic designs in RTL).
• Develop verification test benches for logic designs.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to define interfaces and system performance.
• Support project planning, effort estimation, and validation of requirements.
• Perform technical reviews and hardware evaluations for mission-critical systems.
