Job summary

RTX is seeking a Digital Hardware Design Engineer II in McKinney, TX to design and verify digital electronics for sensor and effector products. You’ll work with embedded processors and FPGAs, and participate in architecture, simulations, and integration across the product lifecycle.

You will document designs, collaborate with ECAD teams, and support testing in lab environments while reporting progress against budget and schedule. This onsite role emphasizes hands-on development and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with digital circuit designs including processors, FPGAs, DDR, and flash memories.
• Proficiency with schematic capture / PCB layout CAD packages.
• Experience using lab equipment for hardware integration and testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with architecture development at the circuit card level.
• Design, analyze, test, and document digital electronics circuit card assemblies including embedded processors, FPGAs, memories, and interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART.
• Collaborate with senior engineers through stack up definition, pre/post-route simulation, layout, and routing.
