Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a Senior Digital Hardware Design Engineer to create advanced FPGA-based solutions for sensor and electronic warfare products. You will define architectures, perform detailed designs, simulations, and integration across the product lifecycle, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior engineers.

The position is onsite in McKinney with a U.S. security clearance requirement and a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with digital circuit designs including processors, FPGAs, DDR, and memory.
• Experience maturing designs from requirements to complete digital designs.
• Schematic capture/CAD tools experience.
• Experience with lab equipment for hardware testing.

Responsibilities

• Decompose requirements and conduct trade studies.
• Define circuit-card-level architecture.
• Lead design, analysis, test, and documentation of digital cards with processors, FPGAs, memories and interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Collaborate with ECAD drafters on stackup, SI/PI simulations, layout and routing.
• Plan and execute integration and verification in laboratories.
• Lead schedules and drive execution within budget.
• Mentor junior engineers and support reviews.
