Job summary

RTX is seeking a Digital Electrical Engineer I for its Tucson, AZ location to design and develop next-generation CCAs and FPGA-based solutions powering mission-critical applications. You will work in an agile, cross-functional team with systems, mechanical, and software engineers throughout the full product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field; degree must be completed by start date.
• Experience or coursework in digital electronics, circuit design/analysis, digital design, or HDL targeting configurable logic devices.
• Experience using common electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters) for circuit characterization and validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify digital architecture, circuit card designs, and FPGA implementations for configurable logic devices.
• Model digital algorithms, partition design functions, and write reliable embedded processing code.
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and collaborate on layout and routing.
• Integrate and validate hardware designs in a lab using advanced test instrumentation against system requirements.
• Maintain design documentation, technical reports, and configuration management throughout the lifecycle.
• Support engineering activities from customer requirements through production release.
