Job summary

RTX seeks a Digital Electrical Engineer I for Tucson, AZ to design and develop CCAs and FPGA-based solutions using architectures from AMD, Altera, and Microchip. You will contribute across the full lifecycle from architecture to hardware integration in an agile team alongside systems, mechanical, and software engineers.

The role requires a BS in Electrical/Computer Engineering, hands-on experience with digital design and HDL, and familiarity with test equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Experience with Digital Electronics, Circuit Design/Analysis, Digital Design, or HDL coding.
• Experience using electronic test equipment for circuit characterization and validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify digital architecture, circuit card designs, and FPGA implementations.
• Model digital algorithms, partition design functions, and write high-reliability embedded code.
• Perform component selection, schematic capture, circuit simulation, and assist with layout and routing.
• Integrate and validate hardware designs in the lab with advanced test instrumentation.
• Maintain design docs, reports and configuration management throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support activities from customer requirements through production release.
