Moog Space and Defense Group specializes in high-performance, reliable space-rated avionics hardware and software. Our products include control and data handling systems, power distribution, payload interface cards, mass memory, GPS receivers, motor and actuation controllers, and onboard computing. We have partnered with NASA on projects like Artemis Orion Crew Capsule, Viper Lunar Rover, Satellite Laser Communications Relay, and OSIRIS-REX asteroid study missions, as well as satellite buses for defense applications.

Role Overview

We are seeking highly skilled FPGA designers responsible for designing embedded FPGAs for spacecraft electronics. Candidates should possess several of the following skills:

• Strong verbal communication skills and proficiency in generating technical documentation
• Ability to develop conceptual designs and perform trade studies
• Experience in generating FPGA design requirements and architecture diagrams
• Develop HDL code and testbenches for FPGAs
• Conduct design analysis to ensure compliance and good practices
• Experience with board bring-up and troubleshooting in lab environments
• Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 years of FPGA design and testing experience

Additional Details

Hybrid work schedule available. Salary range: $91,000 - $124,000 annually.
