Qualifications

• Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in budgeting, auditing, financial controls, regulatory or agency reporting.
• Experience in a utility or union environment preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and planning.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the annual corporate operating and capital budget process with guidance and coordination across departments.
• Develop forecasts and long-range financial models to support decision-making, rate planning, and financial stewardship.
• Prepare financial statements, disclosures, and management reports per established policies and governance.
• Conduct variance and trend analyses to identify drivers and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate external reporting deliverables including Audited Financial Statements, FERC filings, Financial Forecasts, and IRS Form 990.
• Monitor emerging accounting guidance and prepare analyses for management review.
• Maintain budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare and present financial planning information to stakeholders.
• Manage audit coordination activities with schedules and analyses.
• Ensure internal controls are effective through reporting and documentation.
• Oversee staff performance reviews and development within the department.
• Support rate cases, compliance filings, and cross-functional financial initiatives.
• Align objectives with Chugach's strategic goals and prepare budget presentations.
• Lead capital and operating budget preparation for divisions and contracts.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
