Job summary

CoStar Group in Richmond, VA seeks a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to lead the Sales Finance FP&A function, owning commission strategy, administration, and analytics for 900+ sales professionals.

You will work with senior leaders, influence compensation design, and help forecast, budget, and report on business performance. The role emphasizes scalable processes and data-driven decision making in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Finance, Business Management, or Accounting with increasing responsibility.
• Experience in people management or team lead.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and experience with commissions/incentive compensation systems.
• Experience in Commissions, Sales Finance, Sales Operations or Corporate Finance.
• Proven ability to communicate with executive level professionals and manage finance staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of financial analysts to develop, model, calculate, and report on commission plans.
• Design, develop, and maintain commission plans aligned with objectives and metrics.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, and HR to analyze commission plans with accuracy.
• Provide strategic recommendations for sales compensation programs and revenue growth.
• Maintain commission plan documentation and improve communications across sales.
• Create ad hoc analyses and executive-level reporting.
• Oversee implementation and maintenance of commission calculation systems with IT and Finance teams.
• Ensure controls, audit readiness, and compliance with commission policies.
• Track performance and coach talent within commissions and sales finance.
