Job summary

Champion Petfoods is expanding and seeks a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to lead financial analysis, reporting, and planning for short and long-term growth. You will partner with the FP&A Director and cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and robust budget planning, including SGA efficiency initiatives, KPI dashboards, and global regional coordination.

The role is hybrid, based in the corporate office with in-person days, and involves mentoring junior staff, ERP

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a finance role.
• Minimum two years’ experience within the consumer-packaged goods industry preferred.
• Very strong financial writing skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, including reporting tools.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
• Excellent project managerial and interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to develop and sustain successful internal and external working relationships.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Corporate Reporting and KPI monitoring.
• Prepare monthly financial and operational KPI reporting, and monthly management report packages to key stakeholders.
• Partner with accounting team to enhance ERP data capture and facilitate additional FP&A reporting.
• Coordinate with Global regions to manage regional reporting and KPI review.
• In consultation with the Director FPA/Treasury build the detailed annual budget and long term financial strategic growth plan.
• Manage financial planning software to facilitate budget building and corporate analysis.
• Support Director FPA/Treasury as the primary FPA contact for all corporate parent enquiries.
• Support corporate assessment of risks and opportunities as they emerge.
