Job summary

Relay, the Intelligent System of Action for the physical economy, is seeking a Financial Analyst Intern to join the FP&A team in Raleigh, NC. You’ll support planning, forecasting, and reporting, partnering with senior leaders to measure KPIs and drive the annual operating plan as Relay scales toward growth and potential IPO.

You will build and automate analyses with AI tools, develop clear financial narratives for the board and investors, and own components of the driver-based model while

Qualifications

• Strong academic record and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• Experience with financial modeling in Excel/Google Sheets.
• Fluent in AI tooling for automating reporting and analysis.
• Excellent communication and ability to partner across functions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to understand priorities and quantify strategic shifts.
• Help run the annual operating plan and long-range plan end-to-end.
• Automate data ingestion, reporting, and reconciliation using AI.
• Develop analyses and recommendations for the executive team.
• Prepare board, investor, and lender materials.
• Define and track KPIs and build dashboards.
• Own and extend the financial model.
• Support OpEx planning and analysis.
• Run monthly close scorecards and variance packages.
