Job summary

The Washington Post is seeking a highly skilled FP&A Manager to drive planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for revenue businesses. You will partner with Marketing, Sales, Product, Newsroom, and Data Analytics to build driver-based models and actionable insights.

This on-site, full-time role anchors budgeting and long-range planning for B2C and B2B revenue streams. You will mentor junior analysts, refine processes, and ensure accurate forecasts.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of FP&A experience or equivalent.
• Experience supporting revenue-oriented, subscription, digital, consumer, B2B, or growth businesses.
• Experience managing/coaching financial analysts and reviewing complex analyses.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario-analysis skills.
• Ability to synthesize financial data into actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans for assigned revenue streams.
• Develop driver-based revenue models linking pricing, volume, and behavior to outcomes.
• Analyze actual revenue performance vs budget/forecast and identify drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Advise leadership on investment choices and resource allocation with clear financial rationale.
• Evaluate new products, partnerships, pricing, and growth initiatives with business cases and models.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Product, Newsroom, Data Analytics & Insights, and Finance to improve revenue performance.
