Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Finance Manager in Palo Alto, CA for a high-visibility FP&A role guiding spending and contract profitability across product lines. You will interface with production, engineering, sales, program management, accounting, and executives.

Responsibilities include identifying resource needs, analyzing KPIs, partnering with leaders on financial analyses, and coordinating capital expenditure tracking as SpaceX scales rapidly. Onsite in Palo Alto only.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• 6+ years of experience in finance or operations

Responsibilities

• Identify resource requirements for business groups including headcount, capital, refurb/build costs, and operating expenses
• Work with production and engineering to identify KPIs and analyze performance versus productivity targets
• Partner with business unit leaders to prepare financial analyses for operational decisions
• Collaborate with supply chain to track financial obligations as we scale
• Coordinate financial close analysis and group-level reporting with accounting
• Provide insight on spending variances and department-level reporting to business partners
• Coordinate capital expenditure tracking and related cash forecasts for the business
• Provide financial analysis and support to business initiatives
